Scope Of Contract: IX transversal is the primary city road representing the link between two parts of the municipality Novi Grad, separated by a railroad. The planned roundabout will connect the streets Safeta Zajke and Smaila Sikala with the IX transversal, which is a significant traffic point connecting the left and right parts of the municipality Novi Grad, hence, the city of Sarajevo with the settlements on the right side (Boljakov Potok, Brijesce, Buca Potok) and the A1 highway. As such it represents a vital economic and livelihood rout with pronounced importance to the local and wider community. IX transversal is the shortest link between the city urban zone with the A1 motorway and the link between the transit traffic and the bypass, allowing for efficient and sustainable transport connections from the city to the national and international roadwork system. The environmental impacts of the project are significant as it decreases traffic pollution in an area which year after year has experienced major air pollution problems.
Project is divided in two sections:
Section 1 - Connection of IX transversal with Safet Zajko and Smail Sikalo streets including all phases ;
Section 2 - Reconstruction of Safet Zajko Street on section from roundabout junction on Lot 2C to planned roundabout junction on IX transversal

The aim of connection of IX transversal with Safet Zajko and Smail Sikalo streets including reconstruction of Safet Zajko Street is to connect the roundabout on IX Transversal with existing A1 motorway route. The length of this open alignment is about 600 m. The project also includes final works for the roundabout on IX Transversal.
FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Construction for Building and Engineering Works designed by the Employer (Edition 1999) will be used for both civil works contracts

Scope Of Contract: The purpose of the Project is for the design and rehabilitation of the railway section Bender-Basarabeasca-Etulia-Giurgiulesti, part of the Moldovan South railways corridor, which is a 1520 mm gauge railway system of overall length of approximately 250 km.

The design and rehabilitation measures of the Project shall bring the track infrastructure and systems on the Bender-Basarabeasca-Etulia-Giurgiulesti railway section up to acceptable standards, improving track speeds, infrastructure and systems maintainability, passenger ride comfort, ensuring a long service life.

The Contractor shall perform the duties of ‘the Contractor’ in accordance with the General Conditions of Contract (GCC) which will be based upon the “Conditions of Contract for Plant and Design-Build for Electrical and Mechanical and for Building and Engineering Works, designed by the Contractor”, (Yellow Book), First Edition 1999, ISBN 2-88432-023-7, published by the Fédération Internationale des Ingénieurs-Conseils (FIDIC). These Conditions are subject to the variations and additions as set out in the “Particular Conditions of Contract” (PCC).

The Works shall be divided into the two Sections:

Section 1:
a) Surveys, inspections, and any other undertakings required for the development of the detailed design of the works including the construction drawings; obtaining of all required approvals, by this contract and Applicable Laws, of the design and of other necessary documents required for the Contractor to proceed with due execution of the works and in order for the Employer to obtain the Construction Permit.

b) Execution of the works which do not require design approvals (i.e. works which involve no change to the rail-sleeper lattice), and can be executed in parallel with the Section 1 design preparations, inter alia:
•\tre-alignment of the track.
•\treplenishment of the shoulder ballast prism.
•\tcleaning of ballast.
•\treplacement of defective fasteners.
•\tsingle change of sleepers.

Section 2:
Execution of all other works, inter alia:
•\trehabilitation of track superstructure including ballast cleaning to a depth of 30 cm, transition to new jointless track (CWR, Continuous Welded Rail), installation of new concrete sleepers and elastic fastenings (ca. 233 km).
•\trepair of track bed defects (ca. 55,500 m3).

Scope Of Contract: IX transversal is the primary city road representing the link between two parts of the municipality Novi Grad, separated by a railroad. The planned roundabout will connect the streets Safeta Zajke and Smaila Sikala with the IX transversal, which is a significant traffic point connecting the left and right parts of the municipality Novi Grad, hence, the city of Sarajevo with the settlements on the right side (Boljakov Potok, Brijesce, Buca Potok) and the A1 highway. As such it represents a vital economic and livelihood rout with pronounced importance to the local and wider community. IX transversal is the shortest link between the city urban zone with the A1 motorway and the link between the transit traffic and the bypass, allowing for efficient and sustainable transport connections from the city to the national and international roadwork system. The environmental impacts of the project are significant as it decreases traffic pollution in an area which year after year has experienced major air pollution problems.
Project is divided in two sections:
Section 1 - Connection of IX transversal with Safet Zajko and Smail Sikalo streets including all phases ;
Section 2 - Reconstruction of Safet Zajko Street on section from roundabout junction on Lot 2C to planned roundabout junction on IX transversal

Construction of tunnel Kobilja Glava foresees excavation based on New Austrian Tunneling Method (NATM). The tunnel comprises of dual tubes: - Right tube from km 2+503 to km 4+185, L = 682m - Left tube from km 3+497.74 to km 4+476.08, L = 678.34m With the aim to connect Tunnel Kobilja Glava to the existing road network at the north of the tunnel, connection road has to be constructed. This section is 880 m long and it includes construction of the open alignment, service road and stream regulation. The aim of connection of IX transversal with Safet Zajko and Smail Sikalo streets including reconstruction of Safet Zajko Street is to connect the roundabout on IX Transversal with existing A1 motorway route. The length of this open alignment is about 600 m. The project also includes final works for the roundabout on IX Transversal.
FIDIC Conditions of Contract for Construction for Building and Engineering Works designed by the Employer (Edition 1999) will be used for both civil works contracts

Scope Of Contract: The purpose of the Project is for the design and rehabilitation of the railway section Bender-Basarabeasca-Etulia-Giurgiulesti, part of the Moldovan South railways corridor, which is a 1520 mm gauge railway system of overall length of approximately 250 km.

The design and rehabilitation measures of the Project shall bring the track infrastructure and systems on the Bender-Basarabeasca-Etulia-Giurgiulesti railway section up to acceptable standards, improving track speeds, infrastructure and systems maintainability, passenger ride comfort, ensuring a long service life.

The Contractor shall perform the duties of ‘the Contractor’ in accordance with the General Conditions of Contract (GCC) which will be based upon the “Conditions of Contract for Plant and Design-Build for Electrical and Mechanical and for Building and Engineering Works, designed by the Contractor”, (Yellow Book), First Edition 1999, ISBN 2-88432-023-7, published by the Fédération Internationale des Ingénieurs-Conseils (FIDIC). These Conditions are subject to the variations and additions as set out in the “Particular Conditions of Contract” (PCC).

The Works shall be divided into the two Sections:

Section 1:
a) Surveys, inspections, and any other undertakings required for the development of the detailed design of the works including the construction drawings; obtaining of all required approvals, by this contract and Applicable Laws, of the design and of other necessary documents required for the Contractor to proceed with due execution of the works and in order for the Employer to obtain the Construction Permit.

b) Execution of the works which do not require design approvals (i.e. works which involve no change to the rail-sleeper lattice), and can be executed in parallel with the Section 1 design preparations, inter alia:
•\tre-alignment of the track.
•\treplenishment of the shoulder ballast prism.
•\tcleaning of ballast.
•\treplacement of defective fasteners.
•\tsingle change of sleepers.

Section 2:
Execution of all other works, inter alia:
•\trehabilitation of track superstructure including ballast cleaning to a depth of 30 cm, transition to new jointless track (CWR, Continuous Welded Rail), installation of new concrete sleepers and elastic fastenings (ca. 233 km).
•\trepair of track bed defects (ca. 55,500 m3).
•\trenewal of track infrastructure, turnouts and crossings at stations\/passing loops (14 sites; ca. 27 km new CWR; 89 new turnouts; 5 new crossings).
•\tdismantling of track infrastructure and systems at stations\/passing loop to be closed (4 sites; ca. 4 km track; 11 turnouts).
•\trepair of bridge structures, culverts (ca. 96 pcs).
•\trehabilitation of level crossings (ca. 39 pcs).
•\trehabilitation of signalling, telecommunication and power supply systems.
•\tconstruction of new building for Giurgiulesti Station interlocking equipment.
•\trehabilitation of ditches, drainage systems, embankments (ca. 1,168,000 m2).

The track shall remain operational throughout the Works and for those works on, or near, the live operational railway, the Contractor must consider that the rehabilitation works can only be undertaken during ‘working windows’.
